This painting was born from a feeling that I think all of us know.

That quiet moment just before we step into something, begin something new, or stand in front of others. The moment when we silently say to ourselves: I hope it goes well.

While painting it, I was thinking about all our small and big wishes. About the uncertainty we try to hide, and the inner strength we always manage to find in the end. The figure has closed eyes because she is deeply immersed in herself — in her wish, her calmness, and her faith.

“For Me, I Wish” is not just a painting about a performance. It is a metaphor for life itself. About the fact that we all wish for something. To be happy. To be understood. For everything that truly matters to us to turn out well.
